Robert B. Vincent

Chief Operating Officer, National Fire Protection

Value Delivered

Rob provides strategic vision across all of Shambaugh’s fire protection companies, working directly with the upper management of each fire division to make our merged team of companies even greater than the individual pieces.

He also oversees Shambaugh’s operations, from planning and safety to fabrication; plans and directs mission critical projects; and develops highly effective business relationships with national contractors and end users.

Expertise

Rob joined Shambaugh as a Journeyman, working his way up the ranks to his current position while developing strong working relationships with clients. During his more than 30 years with the company, he has become one of the nation’s foremost fire protection authorities and an active participant in the industry.

Over the years, he has assisted many major global and domestic clients, such as Kraft, General Motors, TNT Logistics, and Sysco Foods, among others, with the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems ranging from $1,000 to $15 million.

Since 1998, Rob has served on the National Fire Sprinkler Association’s (NFSA) Engineering and Standards Committee, and currently serves on multiple committees for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). He is a member of the International Cold Storage Contractors Association, Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana, and the Northeast Indiana Construction Alliance. In addition, he works with organizations, such as Underwriter’s Laboratory, Factory Mutual (FM) Global, and major manufacturers to research, develop, and bring to market new and more effective fire protection products and systems.

Holding Level IV certification from National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), Rob has completed both two-year plumbing and four-year sprinkler fitter apprenticeships. He is also an NFSA-accredited productivity specialist and has been trained in the installation and application of special hazards, FM200, CO2, deluge, proteomatic, and wet and dry sprinkler systems, and is OSHA certified.
